Donating to Awake In America
Awake In America is a national non-profit Pennsylvania-based organization focused on sleep, sleep-related issues, and sleep disorders. Through our site, as well as a variety of print and electronic resources for businesses, health care providers, government and elected officials, and educators, we work to help educate others about the importance of sleep, the true cost of sleep deprivation, and the impact sleep disorders have on individuals, families, employers, and society.
Each year, Awake In America relies on donations — from people just like you — to help us reduce drowsy driving accidents, serious health-related issues and ailments, and disability and death due to untreated and undiagnosed sleep disorders, while helping to reduce the overall number of sleep-deprived individuals in all parts of society.
In addition to individual donations, we also rely on generous donations from businesses and corporations for financial support of operations. Without this support, continuing Awake In America’s missions would not be possible.

Donating by Check or Money Order
Make checks or money orders payable to: Awake In America, Inc., and in the “memo” field, be sure to write “donation” for your records. Once the check or money order is received, Awake In America will issue a receipt for your tax records. Checks and money orders should be mailed to:

Donating online by credit card using PayPal and Google Checkout
Awake In America offers two online, electronic payment options, helping to make a donation to Awake In America even easier!
Making an online donation is simple, and may be done using a major credit card, such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express (AmEx), or Discover, on both PayPal or Google Checkout. With PayPal, you also have the option of using a personal checking account to make the donation.
By making your donation online, your donation is received immediately by Awake In America. In some instances, such as when a donation must be verified by PayPal or Google Checkout, there could be a delay of several days before the donation is received by Awake In America. When it is received, you will receive an automatically-generated receipt from our system, confirming the donation prior to sending the funds to our account.
An official receipt for your donation will be issued by our offices when your donation is received by our offices. Please retain the receipt, as its your proof of donation for the IRS and may be used for tax deduction purposes to the maximum amount allowed under law. For specific information about tax deductions, please consult with a tax adviser.
